PLAYING REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY WITH GORDON JUNIORS
LCJRU is affiliated with the Gordon Rugby club along with 7 other rugby clubs in the district. LCJRU players have the opportunity to play representative rugby for Gordon from U10s upwards. The Rep Program is designed to give high performing players the opportunity to compete at a more advanced skill level against teams from others districts throughout NSW . It is also the pathway from which further representative honours (Regional, Sydney and NSW) can be attained. The Gordon Representative teams compete in the State Championships which are held at different locations throughout NSW over the June long weekend.
Rep teams are picked by selectors that are independent of the coaches and have no affiliation (e.g. kids playing) with the age group being selected. The Rep program is very competitive with only a select few chosen from a large pool of potential candidates. The LCJRU President sits on the Gordon Junior Rugby District Committee and has oversight on the selection processes and can be contacted should any concerns relating to selections arise.
Gordon Junior Rugby Academy for U10s - U15s will run. Cost is $80, no refunds for wet weather. Register at Gordon Junior Rugby Union.
